In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Success Rates
|
|
We are pleased to present our 2006 in vitro fertilization (IVF) success rates. We continuously monitor our fertilization and success rates and submit them to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) yearly. Unfortunately, the CDC statistics are "out of date" by two years, which is the major reason we report our IVF success rates on our Web site. We encourage patients to compare our superior IVF success rates to other programs reporting to the CDC and the stats on their Web sites.
IVF success
rates comparisons between clinics may not be meaningful because patient medical
characteristics and treatment approaches vary from clinic
to clinic. For example, a clinic that treats an inordinate number of younger females will achieve higher success rates. Some clinics will not allow women who fail the clomiphene citrate challenge test (CCCT) to enter their IVF programs, which will increase overall success rates. We offer treatment to all women who have a reasonable chance of conceiving after fully explaining their options and the probable outcomes.
